This book almost reduced me to tears. I am saddened by the need, but enlightened by the courage of people in this situation. Continue with the good work and God bless you all.

I just finished your book, Matt, on Street Girls. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and was blessed and challenged! May God bless you as you continue to minister to "street girls". May He fill you with wisdom! |

I've just finished reading the book and found it really inspiring. I recently got back from volunteering in Uganda which involved interviewing street children at projects there which helped me appreciate all the more the hard work involved in working with street kids. Well done all the team - may God continue to bless you and the work you do!! God willing, I may be out of England again in a few days helping out with similar projects! |

Ive had the book "street girls" since spring harvest 2002, and every single time i read it i think about how these girls lives have been changed for the better by God and faith. (At the risk of sounding pretentious) i think its an excellent book and would truly like to get involved in the menina-danca project during my gap year if that would be at all possible! God works in mysterious ways, Luv Bex xxx |

All I can do is repeat all the comments that have been put on this website already - a fabulously written book, that tells us just how amazing God is :) Yes I cried (bit embarrassing when communting into college!) BUT I was humbled by the faith, hope and love in the lives of Matt, Warlei and all the girls; for personal reasons I identified especially with Pamela. At bad times in your life you do want to just shout 'I'm a person!' and, thank our Lord, she found she was at Meninadanca. As someone else has pointed out in a message already this book should not just make you cry but should stir you on for God (Matt's point on pg 166). I'm off to email a few people. |

My pal gave me the book and told me I would cry all the way through and I did cry.Yeah,it is sad to read all those tragic strories. But I also cried because of how God is soo awesome and bigger than us.How God can put soo much love in Matt to be able to stay on another day. That is the love I yearn for.His perfect love to be expressed through all of us.Matt, thanks for leaving 'your music ministry'-it was worth it.Thanks also for the wonderfull book.Cheers! |

'Street Girls' really changed my life, it allowed me to understand why people do the things we don't understand. It also showed me that one shouldn't be judged for what we see, yet understood. I thank God everyday for everything He has given me, and I'm so glad to know that Our God and Saviour helped the street girls, it shows true power and love. Thank you God for guiding us always through Your name and love. |

An excellent book. I got it just yesterday and although I had planned to do other things after reading the first few pages I couldn't put it down and once I had finished I started reading it again. Even though I am a non Christian I truly believe that God helped and is continuing to help those children. You are in my thoughts. |

I've just read the book "Street girls". I've really appreciated the differece between pain and compassion. the stories are incredible, but sure I believe they are true. :-( why people want to live ignoring these things? |
